Vietnamese citizenship granted to 38 Lao citizens in Kon Tum

These Lao people who have been freely migrated and got married without legal documents in the Viet Nam-Laos border area, are residing in Ngoc Hoi and Dak Glei Districts, Kon Tum Province. 

Participants in the ceremony included representatives of the Vietnamese Ministry of Justice, the Lao Provinces of Attapeu and Sekong and Kon Tum Province. 

Earlier on April 3, 2019, State President Nguyen Phu Trong signed to issue a Decision on granting Vietnamese citizenship for 38 individuals (16 male and 22 female) who have been freely migrated and got married without legal documents with Vietnamese people in Ngoc Hoi and Dak Glei Districts.
