Vietnamese-Australian chef becomes Cuisine Ambassador

VGP - The national flag carrier Viet Nam Airlines officially announced that Vietnamese-Australian chef Luke Nguyen becomes its Global Cuisine Ambassador and is in charge of bringing Vietnamese food closer to the world.

This is part of an agreement between the two sides in Canberra, Australia on March 14.

The signing ceremony drew the attendance of Minister-Chairman of the Office of the Government Mai Tien Dung who is accompanying PM Nguyen Xuan Phuc during the latter’s official visit to Australia. 

Under the three-year agreement between the national flag carrier and chef Luke Nguyen, the chef will be responsible for developing meals on Viet Nam Airlines’ flights and creating eight new regional specialties for the business class. He will also give consultations to the airline’s current 50 business-class menus in 2018.

The food magician will popularize Vietnamese food to international friends via cultural and trade exchange program.

Addressing the signing ceremony, Executive Vice President of Vietnam Airlines Le Hong Ha said that the cooperation with Nguyen targets to elevate the art of Vietnamese cuisine to the next level. It is significant when both nations are celebrating the 45th anniversary of the diplomatic ties this year./.
