Vietnam to sign road travel deal with Laos and Thailand

VNGOVNet – Considering the proposal of the Ministry of Transport (MT) and on behalf of the PM, Standing Deputy PM Nguyễn Sinh Hùng on January 19 approved the Road Travel Agreement between Vietnam, Laos and Thailand.

The Deputy PM commissioned the Ministry of Foreign Affairs to complete the procedure of authorizing an MT leader representing the Vietnamese Government to sign the Agreement with the Lao and Thai sides.

He also agreed to the routes and border gates of choice connecting Vietnam with the countries as mentioned in the Agreement on a tentative schedule set by the MT in consultation with the relevant ministries, sectors and local authorities as said in its Document 8166/BGTVT-HTQT of December 27, 2006.
