Viet Nam's COVID-19 tally surpasses 3,000

VGP – With 26 new COVID-19 cases confirmed Wednesday, Viet Nam’s national patient tally reached 3,022.

The latest cases include 18 local infections and eight imported cases, said the Ministry of Health.

The community-transmitted cases include one in the central province of Quang Nam, one in Ha Noi, one in southern province of Dong Nai, one in the northern province of Hai Duong and 14 others at the National Hospital for Tropical Diseases in Ha Noi’s Dong Anh District.

The cases recorded at the national hospital include one health worker, nine patients who had been treated there before testing positive for the virus, and four family members of the patients.

Meanwhile, all the imported cases are Vietnamese, including seven repatriated from Poland (one), Japan (one), Russia (two), the Philippines (three), and one returning to Vie Nam via the Moc Bai border gate in the southern province of Tay Ninh./.
