Việt Nam hosts 31st APPU Executive Council Meeting

VNGOP - The 31st Asian Pacific Postal Union Executive Council (APPU-EC) meeting is being held in Hà Nội from June 9 to 13.

The meeting will focus on discussing postal services-related issues, such as terminal dues, quality of service fund (QSF), EMS, mail securities, e-business; and proposals for the 2008 Universal Postal Union (UPU) Congress.

The objective of the meeting is to propose common recommendations for cooperation and sustainable development of the regional postal sector in the near future.

The event will provide excellent opportunities for delegates to share thoughts on various issues of bilateral cooperation in the field of postal services. Simultaneously, this meeting is also a good chance for Việt Nam to introduce achievements in economic development in general and postal service in particular.

The event, an important activity of APPU, held in turn among the APPU members on a yearly basis, draws the participation of over 150 delegates from 30 APPU members and observers from UPU and APPU.
