Vice President to attend Global Summit of Women

VGP - A Vietnamese delegation led by State Vice President Nguyen Thi Doan will participate in the 2018 Global Summit of Women (GSW) and have bilateral activities in Australia from April 22-28, according to the Foreign Ministry.

The GSW is an important forum to promote gender equality, enhance economic empowerment for women, create opportunities for cooperation connectivity and expansion, and uphold women’s role in each economy and the world. 

The Vice President is planned to give a speech at the opening ceremony, meet leaders of Australia and the states of Victoria and New South Wales. 

The Vietnamese delegation will also share experience, give opinions on GSW topics and examine ways to promote international cooperation for the advancement of women in various fields.

She is scheduled to visit some economic and education establishments, and meet overseas Vietnamese and businesses in Australia.

The annual Global Summit of Women aims to raise public awareness of gender equality and women role in the society. The event has always received a positive response from State, parliamentary and business female leaders.
