Vân Đồn EZ Management Board founded

The Quảng Ninh People’s Committee-administered Management Board will be in charge of managing investment, construction and development of the Vân Đồn EZ.

Organizationally, the Board is led by a head and not more than three deputy heads, all appointed by the provincial People’s Committee Chairperson. The Board consists of the office, professional departments and representative agencies in Hà Nội and Hồ Chí Minh City.

The Vân Đồn EZ covers the whole Vân Đồn District, about 2,171.33 km² in area (including 551.33 km² of natural land and 1,620 km² of sea). The zone has a town and 11 communes, with 600 islands of all sizes, located within the Bái Tử Long Bay.

Vân Đồn is planned to become Quảng Ninh’s center of high-quality eco-tourism, international aviation, high-class services and international trade exchanges.
