US Senate President pro tempore to visit VN

VGP – A US congressmen delegation, led by President pro tempore of the US Senate Patrick Leahy, will pay an official visit to Viet Nam from April 16-20 at the invitation of Vietnamese National Assembly Chairman Nguyen Sinh Hung.

Patrick Joseph Leahy, the member of the Democratic Party, has been the President pro tempore of the United States Senate since December 17, 2012. He is also the chairman of the Senate Judiciary Committee.

The visit is expected to chart a new course for cooperation between the two nations’ legislative agencies.
