The education sector encourages HIV-infected people to engage in HIV/AIDS control at educational establishments.

To guarantee unbiased treatment for children infected or affected by HIV, MoET requires all education and training establishments to seriously observe the Law on HIV/AIDS Control and the MoET Minister’s Instruction 61/2008/CT-BGDĐT on enhancing HIV/AIDS control in the sector.

Accordingly, apart from introducing these documents to trainees, teachers, and parents, it is necessary to improve the awareness of HIV/AIDS control.

In the PM-approved National Action Plan for HIV/AIDS-affected Children to 2010 and with visions to 2020, at least 50% of parents and teachers and 70% of managers must have fundamental knowledge of preventing HIV infection. At least 50% of HIV/AIDS-affected children and their tenders are not discriminated when they access to health, education and other social services.
