UK, VN shake hands in criminal investigations

VGP – Under the Judicial Assistance Agreement which came into effect on September 30, 2009, Việt Nam and the UK will provide each other proofs for criminal investigations and trials.

British Minister of State for Security, Counter-Terrorism, Crime and Policing David Hanson and Vietnamese Deputy Minister of Public Security Trần Đại Quang in London officially exchanged documents approving the agreement.

Under the agreement, Việt Nam and the UK pledged to help each other by providing proofs to serve investigations and trials.

According to Mr. David Hanson, the agreement will further consolidate the good relationship with Việt Nam and offer the UK’s executive bodies an effective instrument whenever they need it.
