The event features five teams, namely U21 Yokohama of Japan, U21 Thailand, U21 Myanmar, U21 and U19 Viet Nam.
Participants will compete in a round robin format, with the two best teams vying for the cup. The winner will pocket US$ 12,000, and the runners-up, US$ 7,000 and US$ 5,000.
According to the Viet Nam Football Federation, a strong Vietnamese U21 side will be selected, with many players competing in the U20 World Cup earlier this year.

Can Thơ previously held the event in 2014. Its stadium welcomed more than 50,000 watchers for the final match of that year’s tournament.
