Tuyen Quang city upgraded into grade II city

VGP – The Prime Minister has decided to upgrade Tuyen Quang city in the northern mountainous province of Tuyen Quang into grade II city.

Tuyen Quang city covers an area of more than 184 square kilometers, including 10 wards and five communes.

The city has gained strong development in all sectors after 11 years of being recognized as grade III city, with average economic growth rate of 12.51% over last three years.

As of the end of 2019, the city was home to 232,230 people. The proportion of non-agriculture labors in urban areas reached 80.04%./.
