Transport infrastructure facilitates national modernization

VGP – The Government will continue to resolve transport obstacles for the sector to become a pioneer in favor of national modernization and modernization, said Deputy PM Trinh Dinh Dung.

Deputy PM Dung stressed the point on January 11 at the summary meeting of the transport sector. 

The transport sector and the Ministry of Transport bear a heavy responsibility for making breakthroughs in synchronous infrastructure especially transport infrastructure in order to raise competitiveness for the country and lay a solid foundation for national industrialization and modernization. 

The transport sector was assigned to make consultations on synchronous infrastructure, service restructuring and lower logistics fees.   

The Ministry of Transport was assigned to review, build, and supplement master schemes on transport infrastructure. 

Noticeably, the ministry was assigned to build five national master schemes for road, railway, aviation, seaport, and inland waterway in the 2021-2030 period with visions towards 2050. 

Deputy PM Dung noticed the importance of speeding progress of large-scale transport projects; ensure progress; and reduce the number of traffic accidents./.
