Three new cases of COVID-19 confirmed, total rises to 1,180

VGP – Three Vietnamese repatriated from Japan and the United Arab Emirates were confirmed the latest cases of COVID-19 this afternoon, raising the patient tally to 1,180.

Patient 1,178 is a 27-year-old woman from Tan Phu Dong Commune, Sa Dec city of the Southern province of Dong Thap.

She flew home from the United Arab Emirates on October 29 and is being treated at the General Hospital in the central province of Khanh Hoa.

The woman was said to have come in contact with a COVID-19 patient in the United Arab Emirates.

Patients 1,179 and 1,180 are women who landed at Da Nang International Airport on October 29 on flight VN5301 from Japan.

Both of them are being treated at Lung Hospital in the central city of Da Nang.

Of the country’s patient tally, 1,063 have recovered and exited hospitals while 35 others have been reported dead./.
