The decision was made earlier the same day at an urgent meeting chaired by Secretary of the Thai Binh Party Committee Ngo Dong Hai.

These cases returned home from the hospital, including two patients and three relatives of other patients.

They tested positive for COVID-19 in the locality and are being treated at the provincial General Hospital.

Ngo tasked the entire local political system to halt unnecessary activities and work and act promptly to prevent transmissions.

The health sector was urged to quickly conduct tests of those who come in contact with COVID-19 patients, doctors and medical workers at the Thai Binh General Hospital and the Thai Binh TB and Lung Disease Hospital.

Police forces were assigned to fine those who infringe the pandemic prevention regulations./.
