Ten Vietnamese outstanding people of 2018 honored

Ten Vietnamese outstanding young people of 2018

Permanent Deputy PM Truong Hoa Binh and First Secretary of the Central Committee of the Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union Le Quoc Phong attended the event on March 19 in Ha Noi.

In 2018, the Viet Nam Promotion Fund for Young Talents received 139 nomination dossiers to select outstanding Vietnamese young people at home and abroad who have excelled in ten categories. 

The ten winners included Miss Viet Nam H’hen Nie (in the culture-arts category); Nguyen Duc Thanh and Vong Binh Long (in the category of scientific research and innovation); Nguyen Phuong Thao (in the category of study); Van Dinh Hong Vu (in the category of business and startup industry); Tran Van Thuyet (in the category of labor and production); footballer Nguyen Quang Hai (in the category of sports); Nguyen Van Thuan (in the category of national defense); Le Trong Hieu (in the category of security and order); and Le Dinh Hieu (in the category of social activities).

Deputy PM Binh acknowledged and hailed the outstanding people who were considered as the best nucleus for the Vietnamese new generation in favor of national development. 

The Government leader expressed the pleasure to witness the outstanding people  who represent minority groups and overseas Vietnamese. They created impressive impressions and inspired Vietnamese youth. 

The Viet Nam Outstanding Young Faces Award is a highly esteemed event from the Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Central Committee, aiming to honor outstanding youths under 35 across the nation who are studying, working in scientific research at home and abroad, and those having great achievements of national construction and defense. 

The award is hoped to promote emulation movements for learning, training, scientific research, and creative activities among youths and attract public attention to educating and training young people./.
