Using Telemedicine, Vietnamese medics have learnt about the advanced medicine through discussing and consulting with their American colleagues via video-conferencing equipment.

The technology brings about many opportunities in disease prevention and treatment as it enables healthcare services to be accessible to communities, especially those in rural and isolated areas.

In Việt Nam, Telemedicine links were established between two hospitals via a local area network with two visual diagnosis machines and three computers.

Electronic information transferring helps reduce patients’ travel costs and work interruption.

Telemedicine ensures the provision of more accurate and timely information, contributing to improving the quality of healthcare. Thanks to Telemedicine technology, patients are able to access to experts more easily and get earlier intervention and better care.
