Steel export tax reduced to zero
VGP – The Ministry of Finance decided on October 28 to readjust the export tax rate applied for some iron and steel products.

Accordingly, the tax rate imposed on iron and steel products in the sub-group 7204.50.00.00 and the groups 7206 and 7207 is reduced from 5% down to 0%.
The new tax rate is applied since November 7, 2008.
According to the Việt Nam Steel Association, the decision will give favorable conditions to domestic steel exporters.
