The State President made the statement while hosting a reception on Sunday to international scholars who are attending the scientific seminar “Marxist theory and the present world" in Hà Nội.

Experiencing different stages of national development, Việt Nam has come to a full awareness that while staying faithful to Marxism, it is necessary to take a creative approach in applying Marxism into the country’s specific conditions, President Triết stressed.

The President said the Party and State of Việt Nam attach great importance to maintaining revolutionary achievements and continuing to build socialism successfully. Thus, it is the top priority to build a powerful ruling Party that wins the people’s trust and serve the whole nation’s interests.

He asked international scholars to continue their in-depth researches on experience of building socialism in Việt Nam and other countries, so as to further perfect theories for the path to socialism.

The scholars highly valued Việt Nam’s success in national renewal process and keeping the Communist Party’s leading role.

Việt Nam is a good example in translating Marxism-Leninism into reality, and has many experiences in building socialism worth of studying, they emphasized.
