He affirmed the crucial role of the Ivory Coast as the second largets trade partner of Viet Nam in Africa, especially in terms of cashew and rice, suggesting the Ivory Coast’s Government facilitate Viet Nam to directly export rice to the African nation and negotiate to sign important agreement, including the double tax avoidance agreement and the investment protection agreement.
The Ambassador stressed the main task of establishing a channel for high-ranking delegation exchanges and trade promotion for Vietnamese products to penetrate into the Ivory Coast.

He hoped that the two sides will soon conclude negations and sign the double tax avoidance agreement and mutual recognition agreement for further bilateral cooperation, requiring Slovenia to urge the EU to sign the EU-Viet Nam Free Trade Agreement (EVFTA) and recognize Viet Nam as a market economy.
Ambassador Janez Premoze asserted to strengthen cooperation with Viet Nam in all areas, expecting the EVFTA will soon come into effect to promote the two sides’ economic and trade relations.
