State President extends New Year greetings

VGP - State President Truong Tan Sang has extended his greetings and best wishes to all Vietnamese people at home and abroad on the occasion of the traditional lunar New Year holiday.

The State President noted that in 2014, Vietnamese people were united to surmount all challenges and difficulties to maintain a peaceful environment and political and social stability, and foster economic and cultural development, external relations, and international integration.

He called on the whole nation to strive harder to obtain the targets of the five-year development plan, safeguard national independence, sovereignty, and territorial integrity.

We will continue to consolidate the Party, State, and political system, and fight corruption, wastefulness, red-tape, and moral degradation among State officials and Party members,” he emphasized.

State President Sang affirmed that this will contribute significantly to the success of Party congresses at all levels toward the 12th National Party Congress.

“With patriotism and national pride we will continue to implement the 2013 Constitution, exercise democracy, increase discipline, publicity, and transparency, and accelerate national renewal in order to make Viet Nam an industrialized nation in the future and ensure a happy, free, and prosperous life for everyone.”

The Head of State wished of a new year of unity, reform and all the best to Vietnamese people at home and abroad to conclude his New Year message./.
