Some foreign cooperative projects approved

VGP - The PM has approved a financing agreement for the technical assistance project on socio-economic development of Thanh Hóa City with US $2 million loaned by the Asian Development Bank.

The project is mainly involved in expanding water supply network, upgrading 38 km and building 27 km of drainage and wastewater pipes, and constructing wastewater treatment facilities in the city. It is scheduled to be completed in December 2014.

The PM has lately approved a draft agreement to access loans for the project on upgrading provincial hospitals in the northern province of Thái Bình and the central province of Nghệ An. The Ministry of Finance will sign the agreement with representatives of the German Government.

The Government chief has also accepted results of negotiations and contents of funding agreements with the Republic of Korea’s Economic Development Cooperation Fund and Export- Import Bank.

The funds will be used to purchase equipment for the Hà Tĩnh Vocational Training School and the Quảng Bình Vocational Training College. The Ministry of Finance will sign agreements with representatives of the Korean Government.
