Site clearance progress of important transport projects to be accelerated

VGP – PM Nguyen Xuan Phuc has recently issued Directive 30/CT-TTg on settlements to site clearance obstacles of important transport projects.

The Directive blamed slow site clearance progress to prolong national key transport projects including Ho Chi Minh Road Project (second phase); a road tunnel project under Ca Pas (including Ca Pas tunel, Cu Mong tunel, and Hai Van tunel); Ben Luc-Long Thanh Express Project, Trung Luong-My Thuan Express; HCM metro project, Nhon-Ha Noi Station metro project, Phap Van-Cau Gie upgrading project in BOT model.

The PM underlined the necessity to resolve obstacles in project implementation including site clearance. 

The Ministry of Transport, investors, project managers, and relevant localities were urged to focus on site clearance for key transport projects. 

The People’s Committees of Ha Noi, Thua Thien-Hue, Da Nang, Phu Yen, Khanh Hoa, Gia Lai, Dak Lak, HCMC, Dong Nai, and Tien Giang were asked to get the entire political system involved in the effort. 

The chairmen of the relevant localities bear the responsibility for directing investors to accomplish site clearance and ensure legitimate rights of residents. 

The PM also tasked his inferiors to timely handle emerging issues on site clearance and resolve complaints and accusation on site clearance compensation and support resettlement in accordance with the laws./.
