Sharing int’l experience of archival digitization of

The Executive Board of the Southeast Asia Regional Branch of the International Council on Archives (SARBICA) today convened its 17th meeting cum seminar in Hà Nội under the topic “Digitization of Archival Records – Sharing Experience.”

The seminar attracts over 180 delegates from archival agencies of SARBICA members.

Many delegates agreed that in the context of rapid IT development and international integration, the digitization of archival records become very urgent in order to store documents and share accurate information.

SARBICA members, including Việt Nam, Malaysia, and Thailand, presented their experience of digitizing paper documents and images as well as managing digitized documents.

In its second day, October 2, the seminar will focus on nurturing human resource.

The results of the seminar will be put into reality by the member countries.
