San Francisco seeks closer cooperation with HCM City

VGP - A US delegation led by Mr. Mark Chandler, Foreign Trade Director for San Francisco Mayor Office, recently came to Hồ Chí Minh (HCM) City where they intend to survey possibilities for economic and trade cooperation between the two cities.

Mr. Mark Chandler stated that San Francisco wants to step up multifaceted cooperation with HCM City, focusing on education, healthcare and environment.

He hoped that more Vietnamese enterprises will come to and have investment cooperation in the US city.

A high-ranking delegation of San Francisco will pay a visit to HCM City in February 2010, he said.

While meeting with Mr. Mark Chandler, Ms. Nguyễn Thị Hồng, Vice Chairwoman of the People’s Committee of HCM City, said the city will put forth specific strategies and plans to strengthen trade, investment and tourism cooperation with San Francisco.
