Since it was recognized as a third-class city in the first quarter of 2007, Sa Dec has continued achieving many significant results in socio-economic development.
Specifically, the city’s average income per capital is 1.41 times higher than the country’s figure; the economic growth rate has been registered at 9.34% on average in the past three years; and the poverty rate has been reduced below 5.5%.
The economic structure has been shifting towards increasing the proportion of industries in the trade, construction and service sectors, and gradually reducing the share of agro-forestry and fisheries.
