Russia’s Navy ships visit VN

VGP – A group of three ships of the Russian Navy’s Pacific Fleet on Thursday arrived at the Cam Ranh international seaport in the South central coastal province of Khanh Hoa, beginning a visit to Viet Nam.

The group comprises of a guard missile cruiser Varyag, medium-sized sea tanker Pechanga, and rescue tugboat Fotiy Krylov as well as 642 sailors on board.

During their stay, the commanders of the ships will pay courtesy call on leaders of the provincial People’s Committee and the Vietnamese Navy.

The visit is expected to contribute to enhancing the comprehensive strategic partnership, including defense and navy cooperation between Viet Nam and Russia./.
