Romania looks forward to higher trade level with VN

VGP - Romanian PM Viorica Dancila spoke highly of Viet Nam’s potential, looking forward to higher level of trade with Viet Nam.

PM Dancila made the above remarks during her meeting with visiting Deputy PM, FM Pham Binh Minh.

Deputy PM Minh expressed his pleasure to visit  Romania for the first time, congratulating on the European country’s socio-economic and international integration achievements.

Minh briefed the host about the outcomes of his talks with Romanian FM Teodor Melescanu, especially the two sides had discussed on a wide range of measures to boost the bilateral ties in various fields,  including trade, investment, agriculture, education and training, cultural exchange, and local-to-local cooperation.

He took the occasion to convey PM Nguyen Xuan Phuc’s invitation to PM Dancila to visit Viet Nam and the latter accepted the invitation with pleasure.

The same day, Deputy PM Minh also met with Vice Chairwoman of the Romanian Chamber of Deputies Carmen Ileana Mihalcescu.

Minh extended congratulations to Mihalcescu on the occasion of the 100th founding anniversary of Romania, highly valuing the European country’s support for Viet Nam over the past years.

The Government of Viet Nam expects to further consolidate and develop the multifaceted cooperation with Romania, particularly in such areas like trade and investment, Minh affirmed.

Mihalcescu said Romania backs early signing of the Viet Nam-EU free trade agreement and will ratify the Investment Protection Agreement between the two countries after its official signing./.
