Revolutionary press urged to constantly consolidate public trust

VGP – Prime Minister Nguyen Xuan Phuc has urged the revolutionary press to constantly consolidate the people’s trust, especially amid fierce competition from social media in providing information.

The PM made the remark during his meeting with leaders of the Party Central Committee’s Commission for Communication and Education, the Ministry of Information and Communications, the Vietnam Journalists’ Association (VJA) and press agencies, in Ha Noi on January 22.

PM Phuc expressed his sincere thanks to the Vietnamese revolutionary press for its immense and multifaceted contributions to the Government’s achievements over the past year, emphasizing that the media has left a strong imprint in disseminating the Party and State’s guidelines and the Government’s directions.

The press has contributed significantly to building up public trust, he said, calling for the creation of a stronger belief towards a more rapidly growing and more powerful Viet Nam.  

The Government leader asked the media to continue making contributions to the cause of building a more prosperous nation, immediately the successful implementation of socio-economic development tasks set for 2018.
