Quang Ninh attracts US$5 bln in FDI

VGP – As many as 105 Foreign Direct Investment (FDI) projects have been operating in the northern province of Quang Ninh with a total registered capital of nearly US$5 billion.

According to the provincial Department of Planning and Investment, in 2014, 12 new projects were licensed with a registered capital of more than US$700 million, 1.96 times higher than in 2013 in terms of capital.

Meanwhile, eight FDI projects have increased their investment.

Local investors have poured more money tourism and trade in the province.

In the year, 60 locally-invested projects were licensed, capitalizing at VND25,600 billion, up 18% from 2013.
