PTSC pours money in an FPSO in Malaysia

VGP - PetroVietnam Technical Services Corporation (PTSC) and Malaysia International Shipping Corporation Sdn Bhd (MISC) on Friday gave the name “FPSO Ruby II” to the floating production storage and offloading in Malaysia.

FPSO Ruby II, worth of US $280 million, is a large-scale project carried out by PTSC and MISC, a company of Malaysian National Petroleum Bernad (Petronas).

The project covers such activities as designing, purchase, construction, upgradation, transporting, connecting, installation, operation and maintenance during eight years for the customer, Petronas Carigali Vietnam Limited.

To manage and operate the FPSO properly, Petronas, PTSC and MISC established the Việt Nam Offshore Floating Terminal, in which PTSC holds 60% of the total capital.

FPSO Ruby II has the maximum capacity of 654,000 barrels and can receives 39,000 barrels per day and delivers 20,000 barrels per hour.
