Prime Minister held talks with newly-appointed Romanian ambassador and Lao ambassadress

VNGOP - On June, 21th, Prime Minister Nguyễn Tấn Dũng held talks with newly-appointed Romanian ambassador Olaru I Dumitru and Lao ambassadress Soonthon Xayachak on their beginning of working term in Viet Nam.

Speaking during his talk with Romanian ambassador, PM Nguyễn Tấn Dũng welcomed Romanian participation into European Union since January, 1st, 2007 while expressing firm belief that Romania-Viet Nam traditional friendship relations running for more than past fifty years and Viet Nam-EU relations will further develop.

PM Nguyễn Tấn Dũng thanked Romanian Government as it supported Viet Nam join World Trade Organization (WTO) and Viet Nam’s bid to become a non-permanent member of the UN Security Council in the 2008-2009 term. Vietnamese PM also stressed that Viet Nam-Romania bilateral trade value failed to match potential of each country and saw it necessary that the two nations further promote bilateral economic, commercial, educational and training cooperation to take Viet Nam-Romania relations to a new height. PM Nguyễn Tấn Dũng wished Romanian ambassador Dumitru complete well his entrusted task in Viet Nam.

During his reception of Lao ambassadress, PM Nguyễn Tấn Dũng emphasized that Viet Nam and Laos have special relations and comprehensive cooperation. PM Nguyễn Tấn Dũng expressed pleasure that Viet Nam-Laos traditional friendship relations established by President Hồ Chí Minh and Lao President Cayson Phomvihan, was more and more strengthened and expanded. PM Nguyễn Tấn Dũng wished Lao ambassadress complete his entrusted task in Viet Nam.

The ambassador and ambassadress sincerely thanked PM Nguyễn Tấn Dũng and reiterated that they would do their utmost to further expand Viet Nam-Romania and Viet Nam-Laos traditional friendship relations.
