The State Bank of Việt Nam will complete necessary procedures for the extension.

The Ministry of Education and Training will map out the implementation of the project, closely supervise and speed up the disbursement of the WB’s capital sources, and suggest the WB spend the remaining US $5 million on new items which will be carried out in the coming years.

The project aims at bringing all children to primary schools by 2010; enriching disadvantaged children’s opportunities to access to primary schools and better quality education.

The project also helps to improve primary educational services in disadvantaged districts and schools.

A focus is placed on reducing the number of disadvantaged children, ethnic minority children, disabled children, poor children and street children who cannot go to school, so as to increase the primary education enrollment.
