PM urges to set up Gov't action plan boosting administrative reforms

VNGOP – To implement administrative reforms set in the Government's resolution for June 2007 (No. 35/2007/NQ-CP) and under the PM's direction, the Government Office on July 18 asked ministries, ministerial-level agencies and the People's Committees of Hà Nội and Hồ Chí Minh City to focus on some following major tasks of administrative reforms:

To drastically direct administrative reforms by checking and abrogating out-of-date procedures, especially those on approving projects, bidding, investment management, construction, and land allocation; amending and supplementing within their competence or submitting to the Government and the PM for amendment and supplementation of improper regulations in these fields; issuing documents to instruct administrative procedures in order to ensure a consistent and smooth realization.

Ministries, ministerial-level agencies, and the two People's Committees were requested to timely issue documents instructing the implementation of laws and ordinances which have come into effect.

The Ministry of Internal Affairs collaborates with the Government Office to draft the Government's Action Program to realize the Resolution of the 5th Plenum of the Communist Part of Việt Nam Central Committee (10th tenure) on "Speeding up administrative reforms, increasing efficiency of State apparatus".

The PM ordered the ministries and agencies to fulfill their assignments and report the PM before August 30, 2007.
