The leader lauded the significant results that the sector has achieved over the past year, with all the assigned targets, concerning the rate of trained workers, the rate of unemployment in urban areas and the poverty reduction rate, having been completed, contributing to joining the whole country to comprehensively fulfill the 13 socio-economic development targets set out by the National Assembly.

Despite the achievements, he also requested the sector to frankly look into some existing shortcomings, such as the slow reform of occupational education, the limited quality of human resources, and the unserious compliance with social insurance laws in many units that use laborers.

He asked the Ministry of Labor, Invalids and Social Affairs to pay greater attention to implementing support policies for revolutionary contributors and the vulnerable groups, in addition to providing accurate and appropriate consultations for the Government in issuing righteous policies that could meet the people’s demand.

The ministry was requested to strive to comprehensively finalize all the targets and tasks assigned to it in 2018, concerning the field of labor, revolutionary contributors and social affairs, whilst focusing on breakthrough measures to enhance the quality of occupational education and administrative reforms.
