PM underlines traditional ties with neighbor

VGP – The traditional relationship between Việt Nam and Cambodia has been developing well in all aspects during the past years, noted PM Nguyễn Tấn Dũng.

The Government chief made the statement on Thursday at his meeting with outgoing Cambodian Ambassador to Việt Nam Van Phal.

He highlighted positive progress of the border demarcation and landmark planting work carried out by the two neighbors, describing this a good example of the bilateral flourishing ties.

PM Dũng stressed the consistent policy of the Vietnamese Party and State to consolidate and enhance the traditional relations with Cambodia for the sake of the two peoples,.

The PM urged the two sides to continue follow-up efforts to expand cooperation in culture, science and technology, education, and the border work.

Ambassador Van Phal said his leaders and people would always keep in mind Việt Nam’s valuable assistance and support for Cambodia’s past revolutionary cause and current national construction.

The Cambodian diplomat said that he would spare no effort to enrich the comprehensive linkages between the two countries.
