PM to attend regional and global events

VGP – PM Nguyễn Tấn Dũng will attend the opening ceremony of SEA Games 25 in Laos and the United Nations Summit on climate change in Copenhagen (COP 15) this month.

At the invitation of Lao PM Bouasone Bouphavanh, PM Nguyễn Tấn Dũng and his spouse will attend the opening ceremony of the 25th Southeast Asian Games (SEA Games 25) in Vientiane, Laos, on December 9.  

Running from December 9-18, SEA Games 25 draws the participation of 4,200 athletes competing for 379 sets of medals in 25 sports.

Over 400 Vietnamese athletes will participate in almost all contests of SEA Games 25.

According to the recent notice of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, PM Nguyễn Tấn Dũng will lead a Vietnamese delegation to attend the COP 15 and the meeting of the Parties to the Kyoto Protocol (CMP 5) in Copenhagen, Denmark, on December 16-18.

At the invitation of Russian PM Vladimir Putin, PM Nguyễn Tấn Dũng will pay a working visit to the Russian Federation on December 15. 

The visit aims at cementing and deepening the strategic partnership and comprehensive cooperation between Việt Nam and Russia; maintaining regular high-ranking diplomatic talks; and putting the reached agreements into reality.
