Accordingly, ministries, sectors and localities must focus on removing obstacles against production and distribution of essential goods, and local authorities are required to speed up the implementation of price stabilization programs on key commodities like petroleum, food and other highly-demanded ones during the holiday.

The PM also called for more efforts by local competent management agencies to strengthen supervision of price regulations. Offenders of these regulations must be strictly punished.

Measures to address commodity shortages should also be prepared in advance to avoid price escalation.

PM Dũng especially stressed the need to provide assistance to poor households and other vulnerable groups to make sure that all families have a happy Lunar New Year.
