The Decision requests competent agencies to (1) detect, collect, exchange and provide information on trade frauds; (2) conduct joint patrols and investigations to early expose wrongdoings; (3) work with enterprises, the Association for Anti-Counterfeiting and Trademark Protection and the Association of Standards and Consumer Protection to publicize the related laws.

Specifically, the People’s Committees at district and communal levels in border and coastal areas will be completely responsible for combating trade frauds and trafficking.

Conjugate checkpoints founded by the PM will be in charge of inspecting and checking goods to uncover trafficking cases.

The Decision will take effect on December 15, 2010 and replaces the PM’s Decision 96/TTg, dated on February 18, 1995./.
