PM receives Governor of Japan’s Kagoshima prefecture

VGP – PM Nguyen Xuan Phuc promised that Viet Nam stands ready to facilitate a direct air route to Kagoshima prefecture.

PM Phuc expressed his sympathies to Japanese people over losses and damage caused by the recent Typhoon Habigis while receiving Governor of Japan’s Kagoshima prefecture on October 16 in Ha Noi.

Governor Mitazono Satoshi said that the bilateral relations have extremely flourished. He hoped to promote local cooperation between the two countries especially Kagoshima prefecture with Vietnamese peers in various fields such as agriculture. 

The Governor told his host that during his current visit to Vietnam, his delegation signed a Memorandum of Understanding with the northern province of Hai Duong in human resources development and agricultural techniques.

In reply, PM Phuc said that the Government welcomed the expansion of locality-to-locality cooperation in new areas.

PM Phuc welcomed the idea of the Japanese official and said Viet Nam is willing to create all possible conditions to launch the route which links Kagoshima prefecture and Viet Nam. 

The host leader called upon Japan and Kagoshima in particular to further increase investment in Viet Nam and affirmed that the Vietnamese Government will create the best conditions for Japanese investors.

He also proposed the Japanese prefecture pay more attention to Vietnamese students in Japan and promote people-to-people exchanges besides tourism development./.
