PM ratifies agreement on atomic energy development with France

VGP – PM Nguyễn Tấn Dũng just gave nod to the contents of an agreement on atomic energy development for peaceful purposes between the Governments of Việt Nam and France.

PM Dũng assigned the Ministry of Science and Technology to sign the agreement with authorized representative of the French Government and to be fully responsible for the implementation of the document.

The same day, PM Dũng voiced his support for the contents of the Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) on financial assistance (less than £17 million) to UN-funded School Education Quality Assurance Project (SEQAP) in the period of 2009-2012.

The Ministry of Finance was entrusted to ink the MoU with representatives of the UK Department for International Development.

The PM also agreed to change the name of the project "enhancing care, consultancy and assistance to HIV/AIDS-infected people and community-based HIV/AIDS Fight" into “Global Fund to fight HIV/AIDS.”

The project, funded by the Global Fund to fight AIDS, Tuberculosis and Malaria, will be extended to 2014 with additional ODA capital of over US $48 million.

The Ministry of Health and the Ministry of Labor, War Invalids and Social Affairs were asked to complete procedures and sign related documents to carry out the project.
