PM okays to pay US$ 500,000 to IFAD

VNGOVNet – The PM agreed on March 23 that Vietnam will pay US$ 500,000 in the 7th fund-raising phase of the International Fund for Agricultural Development (IFAD) in 2007-2009.

Accordingly, the PM entrusted the Ministry of Finance to inform the IFAD his decision and fix the payment schedule. The contribution will be allocated from the standby budget 2007.

The Ministry of Finance will collaborate with the Ministry of Planning and Investment, Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development, Government Office and the related agencies and local authorities to assess the realization of the IFAD-funded projects over the past time, propose solutions on effective management and use of loans, and report to the PM.
