The State Bank of Việt Nam (SBV) was assigned to complete all follow-up procedures with the WB for the adjustments.
The Government chief ordered the Ministry of Health and relevant localities to tightly supervise and speed up the implementation of the project under newly-adjusted conditions.
The project, carried out in 13 provinces and cities in the Mekong Delta, is expected to improve the region’s medical system, better disease prevention and treatment services, and facilitate local residents’ access to high-quality reasonably-charged medical services.
Of the total investment capital, the WB and Japan will contribute US $70 million and US $5 million respectively. Việt Nam’s counterpart funding will be US $10 million.
The project is scheduled to terminate on December 31, 2011.
