The PM expressed his wish that press will further collaborate with the Government in speeding up socio-economic development in 2007, with three key focuses: to reach a GDP growth rate of 8.5% or higher; to accelerate administrative reform, and to struggle with corruption and prodigality.

Mass media must help people understand and advocate the Government’s determination for administrative reform, especially administrative procedures, the PM said.

PM Nguyễn Tấn Dũng also hailed press’s contribution to anti-corruption. “The fight against corruption is as urgent as that against internal invader”, stressed the PM, in which press will play an important role.
