Đầm Cùng bridge is significant for Cà Mau Province in particular and the South West in general, facilitating trade activities and travel between provinces and forming a complete traffic network to connect economic zones, industrial parks and residential areas in the region.

With the length of more than 2,000 meters and the width of 668 meters, the bridge is expected to help realize the province’s transport and socio-economic development strategies.

The PM asked the Ministry of Transport (MoT) to implement goals and orientations on infrastructure development proposed in the related Resolution, which gives priority to upgrade crucial traffic projects in the North, Northwest and Mekong Delta.

PM Dũng also required the MoT to mobilize its resources and cooperate with other ministries, agencies and localities to propose effective measures on improving crucial traffic routes and forming overland frames and main traffic axis to meet the country’s demands for socio-economic development.
