PM attends Industry 4.0 Summit and Expo 2018

VGP – PM Nguyen Xuan Phuc attended the Industry 4.0 Summit and Expo 2018, themed “Vision and Development Strategy in the Fourth Industrial Revolution”, in Ha Noi on July 13.

The event, jointly held by the Vietnamese Government and the Party Central Committee’s Economic Commission, brought together nearly 2,000 delegates, including 11 ambassadors and representatives from international organizations, over 50 leading experts in the regional and the world, and businesses, both at home and abroad.

The summit focused on discussing the reality of implementing and applying Industry 4.0 technologies in Viet Nam, in addition to mentioning some outstanding trends concerning Industry 4.0, sharing international experience, and putting forward policy recommendations for Viet Nam, aiming to improve its access to Industry 4.0.

During the talk session, speakers from the Government, ministries, sectors, and international experts answered questions, while business leaders suggested a number of policies and the implementation plans of action programs in the time ahead so that Viet Nam proactively participates in and keeps pace with the technological trends.

The exhibition featured the presence of the world’s leading technology corporations, with the modern technological solutions, such as Smart Factory, Automation, 3D Printing, Nano Technology, AI & Robotics, Smart Sensor, Big Data, Block chain, Network Security, and Authentication, etc. The event provided an opportunity for delegates and customers to access products and solutions on smart industry in the manufacturing, finance-banking, agriculture and information technology industries, while offering a platform for businesses to learn from each other’s experience and seek cooperation opportunities.

Among the event’s highlights was the presence of Sophia, the world’s first robot with citizenship.

Ahead of the summit, PM Nguyen Xuan Phuc cut the ribbon to launch the international exhibition on Industry 4.0, which featured nearly 50 pavilions.
