PM attends Can Tho investment promotion meeting

The large-scaled event is attracting the participation of around 500 delegates from ministries, agencies, localities, economic corporations, foreign and domestic businesses as well as representatives from diplomatic agencies in Viet Nam and international organizations. 

The meeting presents potentials, advantages, investment opportunities, planning, and priorities for investment in Can Tho City. 

Delegates at the meeting will review experience to develop Can Tho in the way of service and agriculture with high effectiveness and development of science and technology. 

The signing ceremony of memorandum of understanding and cooperative agreements with organizations, associations, investors and businesses in fields of investment, trade and service will be organized. 

An exhibition of products made in the city will be displayed. 

Among 54 projects introduced at the meeting, 44 ones have received concerns from investors and investors are willing to launch 22 projects if legal procedures are completed. 

Currently, as many as 412 projects are being carried out in the city with the total investment capital of more than VND81,000 billion, including 76 Foreign Direct Investment (FDI) ones worth around US$656 million.
