Party chief receives Cuban senior official

General Secretary Trong said that the visit to Viet Nam of Mr. Jorge is a good chance to implement the agreements reached by the two countries’ leaders and boost cooperation between the two Parties and countries.

He said he believes under the sound leadership of the CPC, led by President Raul Castro and leader Fidel Castro, the Cuban people will record greater achievements in their revolutionary cause.

The CPV leader also reiterated Viet Nam’s faithful support and solidarity with the CPC and Cuban people.

For his part, Vice President of the Cuba’s Council of Ministers Marino Murillo Jorge informed the host of the initial results of bringing the policy of the sixth Congress of the Communist Party of Cuba (CPC) into life.

Mr. Jorge is currently the head of CPC Commission responsible for implementing resolutions approved at the CPC’s sixth Congress.

He also pledged to further strengthen solidarity, traditional friendship and comprehensive cooperation between the two Parties, States and peoples in the coming time./.
