Over 1 million foreign tourists arrive in VN in July

VGP – Viet Nam welcomed 1 million foreign tourists in July, an increase of 21% compared to the same period last year, said Director General of Viet Nam National Administration of Tourism Nguyen Van Tuan.

According to Director General Tuan, this was the 5th consecutive month that the number of foreign tourists to Viet Nam has exceeded 1 million.

“This is attributed to our society’s changes toward the tourism sector as well as sound policies of the Party and State,” he added.

“While both the regional and global situation can be complicated due to terrorism and violence, Viet Nam’s political stability is a factor that attracts foreign tourists,” the Director General said.

In the seventh month, the number of domestic visitors in July fetched 46 million./.
