OCWC meeting starts in Hà Nội

VGP - The annual global meeting of the OpenCourseWare Consortium (OCWC) will take place in Hà Nội from May 5-7, presided over by the Việt Nam Education Foundation (VEF) and the Vietnamese Ministry of Education and Training (MoET).

The 2010 meeting, themed “Educational Policy and OpenCourseWare”, will discuss the possibility of OpenCourseWare (OCW) in influencing on educational advance on mass scale.

The meeting will give Việt Nam’s universities and students chances to access to knowledge of the emerging OCW movement in the world, according to the MoET.

With its innovative government-run program, Việt Nam has quickly become a significant contributor to the movement, Ms. Mary Lou Forward, President of the OCWC, said.

The Việt Nam Creative Commons license, which allow people to share and use the creations of others, consistent with copyright rules, will also be introduced at this meeting.
